Q.  Hello dear Oracle
My question is: is considered Rainy Day a part of Viva La Vida due to the similarity of sound?

Rainy Day was recorded during the Viva la Vida sessions but didn't make it on to the album. Along with other tracks that didn't - but almost did - it featured on the Prospekt's March EP. The EP is like an extension of Viva and the Deluxe Edition actually included Prospekt's March.

Q.  Is the beach in the alternate video for Viva la Vida and Yellow the same beach?

No. Yellow's beach is in Dorset ( Studland Bay). The alternative video for Viva was shot in The Hague so I assume the beach was somewhere nearby but it definitely wasn't Dorset.

Q.  I have the tap tap revenge app Coldplay edition on my iPod touch and I'm not very good. As you probably know the hardest level is "extreme". The hardest song on that selection is called Viva la Vida (Thin Wh.. then it cuts off. I would like to know what the title is and what it sounds like. Thanks

This version of Viva la Vida is the Thin White Duke Mix. We released the track on this very website for a limited time too and it was heard the world over on the recent tour as an interlude between Stage C and the final section on the main stage.
FYI: As previously mentioned, in this case Stuart Price is the Thin White Duke, not David Bowie!

Q.  I was watching the Grammys and I noticed how Chris added some lyrics to "Viva La Vida". I liked the extra lyrics he added. Is there any chance the band might re-release the song with the added lyrics?

No, because that song has been released and there'll be no re-release with alternative lyrics or otherwise. They're not actually new lyrics that he's singing, if you see the question answered immediately before this one, you will find the answer. Chris does this a lot, he adds lyrics from either his favourite song at the moment or someone he wants to pay homage to, so it's not unusual at all.

Q.  Where can I find the free download of the remix of their smash hit Viva La Vida from their official website?

As Anchorman announced, it was only available for a limited time and so you have missed it via the official route. I have no knowledge of any unofficial sources, as I am a law-abiding citizen. Honest guv.

Q.  Dear oracle,
as an avid fan of coldplay i come on here every single day.
first, what is the remix of viva la vida that was played after the acoustic bit in boston? it was fantastic and id love to buy it!
second, where can i but those bracelets sold at concerts (the ones i see chris wearing). i really want some and couldnt get any at the last concert due to an empty wallet. id love to support the cause!

please answer one of coldplays biggest fans :D [im obsessed XD ]

It's a remix of Viva la Vida by Thin White Duke (aka Stuart Price). There are no current plans to release it commercially though.
The bracelets are to raise money specifically for the children of the Dafur crisis and as you say they can be bought at the shows and also here.

Q.  Dear Oracle, can you tell me when and where the video for Viva La Vida 2 was filmed? It looks like Holland, and seeing Anton Corbijn filmed it, it probably is Holland. If so, too bad I missed them.

It was shot in the Netherlands by, as you say, Anton Corbijn which is also why is bears more than a passing resemblance to another of his previous videos for Depeche Mode; Enjoy The Silence.
