Q.  Dear Oracle,
Is it too late to send Phil stamps because I would really like to :)
And there are rumors that the next tour won't be until 2015.. Is that true?
Thanks so much,
Meghan, GA

Yes, it is too late to send stamps as the closing date was last Friday.
Tickets for the only show in the schedule went on sale 15 minutes ago but as always, tour dates will only be announced in News as and when we're back on the road.

Q.  Dear Oracle, I'm going to London in December, so, you think there's a chance I'll accidentally find myself on a Coldplay gig? Also, where's the best coffee in London?

Well, Stefi as it happens... There IS a show in December that we have just announced here.
Flat White in Soho has great coffee. but there really are too many places to mention that do.

Q.  Hi there:)
Quick and easy question: Does Coldplay ever play random shows in the U.S. that aren't on their tours?

Not random in the sense that they turn up unannounced and play but they do perform at smaller clubs, radio stations, TV programmes & once a barbecue - all of which were part of promo and tickets were available to the public by either competition or (as with TV) applying for studio tickets.

Q.  Hi there,

I was just wondering when you will next be playing in London. I saw the 6th December, but wasn't sure if that was an old gig?

Please let me know,

All the best,

Coldplay played Dingwalls in London on 6 December 2011 so yes it was an old gig.
All you need to do to check dates is look at our live section. This is where you'd find a current touring schedule - if we had one - and also the interactive map showing where we have previously played.

Q.  I heard that they sometimes go home between two concerts, but do they also go to the UK for one or two days when they are touring in America?

The band travel home in between European concerts but it's far too far to commute to work when they're touring the U.S. That said, they do tend to set their base in New York and travel back there when it makes sense to.

Q.  Hi! I don't really have a question, but rather just a msg for you!
I went to Coldplay's concert in Auckland and I uploaded some photos! Feel free to use them if you wanted photos taken from concert-rockers point of view haha.

Your concert was like, perfectly amazing! Thank you! :) x

As you can imagine, there are millions of photos taken over the course of a Coldplay tour and while it's not possible to peruse them all, we do encourage fans to upload their pictures to our website. Please do add yours to the Auckland show.

Q.  Dear Coldplay,
We have just bought the Coldplay Live 2012 Concert film. It is an amazing film, that brings back some wonderful memories. We only went puzzled when you say that you started the tour on Madrid. Did you forgot the extraordinary concert that you did in Oporto on the 18 May??
Paulo and Cristina.

The Madrid show mentioned in the Live 2012 is not the one you're thinking of. The first live gig of the MX era was in Madrid on 26 October 2011. They played there again on 20 May 2012 as part of the full tour.

Once the album was released there were TV, Radio, charity and special perfomances before the tour kicked off proper on 3rd December in Glasgow. Portugal was around the 22nd night of the tour.

Q.  Hello Oracle!

What airline and bus company did the band use while on tour??

Viva La Coldplay!!

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering supplied the planes - when not travelling on passenger scheduled flights - on the last tour and Beat The Street provided the crew bussing.

Q.  I don't get what's the band doing now. And why is their MX tour so short. Can you explain why?

I am getting asked a lot if the band are taking time off. They rarely take time off. It may seem that way because they're off the radar & not out and about performing but they are busy behind the scenes.
They're not in the full steam ahead mode just yet, but plans are being made and steps are being taken.
It's impossible to be on the road permanently (unless you're a DJ) but the MX tour was far from short.
They started performing live during the festival period of 2011 while still putting the final touches to the album. They went out on the road again around the release (October) and didn't finish until December 2012 so that's 18 months of performing live with the MX tour running for over a year of that.

Q.  Hello Oracle! I was just wondering if the boys were planning on doing more dates in Edinburgh & Kircaldy, in early December? I saw this on the website 'concert boom' & I hope it is true! thanks! :)

I can't put it more simply than this: if it's not on OUR website, it's either not confirmed or not happening.
Our live section shows all our current dates and unless or until you read about live dates on this website treat all other reportings as rumour.

I can tell you for a fact that Coldplay are NOT playing any Scottish dates in December nor has that ever been a probability.
