Q.  Hello Oracle!

First off, I'm sorry for this throwback question in the middle of all the Ghost Stories excitement, but it has been bugging me for a while!

In the intro to Til' Kingdom Come during a concert (Toronto 2006 I think), Chris says, 'This is a song we wrote for Johnny Cash, and in return he gave us our..." I can't make out what he says. Would you be able to remember? :)

Thanks in advance if you answer this! Much love from India.

Ah, this was a lovely question to answer for the pleasure of watching the wonderful video clip of that performance.
Chris said "This is a song we wrote for Johnny Cash, and in return he gave us our dress sense".
If you don't know, Johnny Cash was also known as The Man in Black due to his trademark black clothes. During the Twisted Logic tour (X&Y), Coldplay dressed in black hence the reference.

Q.  Most Coldplay fans know that 'Til Kingdom Come was originally written to be sung with Johnny Cash. I would like to know if Cash had not passed when he did, would he have been on the track on X&Y?

That's not quite accurate, Greg. The song wasn't written to be sung with Johnny; it was written for Johnny to sing. If he hadn't died the song would not have been on X&Y at all, it would have been on the planned Johnny Cash album.

Q.  Hi! Who is the "swedish friend" Johnny Cash is singing about in his song "Hurt" ?
Thanks

Bless you Helmut, I guess it does sounds like he's singing "Swedish" but in fact the lyric is "sweetest friend"!
It's not his song though, Hurt was written and originally recorded by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails).
FYI: Back in 2005 when Coldplay and Nine Inch Nails headlined Coachella festival, Chris sang a snippet of Hurt during their set on the first night in honour of NIN playing the following night.
