Q.  Hey Oracle!
I was wondering why the Coldplay website got rid of the gallery of Coldplay fan art? it was my favorite thing about the site! I was hoping to put in my own art!
Thanks! love Brooke

That was such a long time ago! Te Exhibition Room opened in 2009 but was only short term while the band were in the studio. It was replaced by the Hypnofeed which came to an end on 25th February 2014.

Q.  Hi Oracle
I loved seeing videos on Hypnofeed, but I've noticed there has been a long break in new posts and the link seems to have finished! Was the Hypnofeed something exclusive to the Mylo era or do you think it will return in a different form at some point in the future?

The Hypnofeed was running just before and for the duration of the Mylo Xyloto album and tour. Its last submission was Tuesday, 25 February 2014 via Major Minus, Silencia.
Prior to the Hypnofeed, we had the Exhibition Room so a replacement could be possible at some stage but currently I don't know what's next - if anything at all.

Q.  Okay this question probably has a real obvious answer but where can I view the art that was in the Exhibition Room? I thought it would be on the hypnofeed. How do I find all the other awesome stuff? Mahalo!

It's in the ARCHIVE section of the site here.

Q.  Where is the Exhibition Room?

The Room is now closed and we've moved the entire Exhibition to our Archive section.
Check out Hypnofeed as that's where it's at now. It's all about feeding us there!

Q.  Hello, I was wondering if the boys had any partake in the Exhibition Room idea? Thanks very much, Blaire.

The band are involved creatively in everything that they do; the website - including the Exhibition Room - is no exception.

Q.  Dear Oracle,
Could you ask the Curator if it is difficult to pick a new piece of art to show each day? Also, could you ask how many pieces are sent in each day? Thank you

I asked... in the 2 weeks since the room opened its virtual doors there have been 2868 submissions so that's a little over 200 per day. And apparently it's very difficult because the standard is very high. It can't be harder than selecting questions here but anyway...
I'll take this opportunity to mention that the Curator does their thing and I do mine so I'm wondering why I am getting a lot of questions sent in about it. Folks there really is no point sending me notes telling me that your friend has submitted a great piece of work and you're upset it's not up. Or that you yourself have submitted and want to know if you should assume it's rubbish. I leave all those decisions to the Curator but as I just mentioned if it's getting 1434 entries per week and only 5 are displayed the odds of being chosen are greatly reduced. Similarly to the Oracle section this doesn't mean it won't appear in the future so I guess that's something we do have in common.

Q.  Hi Oracle! I'm curious to know if the daily Exhibition Room entry is selected from the current day's submissions, or from all the submissions sent in so far. Or what. Thanks.

Apparently the Curator will choose from all submissions; given it will only display on weekdays yet you can still submit at weekends, that makes sense. Seems we have a competitive Curator; there's already gloating since over 600 entries in less than 24 hours beats the number of questions I receive.
