Q.  Dear Oracle, I wanted to know more about the instrumental track called Aiko which is in the Live 2012 DVD. Where does its name come from? When was it recorded? Was it released somehow? Thank you in advance.

I don't know of it as a song. I have seen people saying that Aiko is the instrumental piece in Will's interview segment of the DVD but I haven't seen anything to confirm that - despite reading people who claim that it is in the credits.
The name Aiko appears in the DVD booklet (one of Chris' doodles) - it's the name of Mylo's Dad (his parents are Aiko and Lela).
If it is also the name of the instrumental, it will have been recorded during the MX sessions but obviously it hasn't been released or it would be in the Recordings section of the site.

Q.  On the Ghost Stories Live 2014 DVD, are all the songs performed on the televised concert included, or just the Ghost Stories songs only?

If you scroll down the original news article that Anchorman posted on this site, you will see the full track listing.
It's not like the Live 2012 release, hence the specific name - Ghost Stories Live 2014.

Q.  At the end of the DVD Live 2012, after the credits, an audio clip of Chris is heard. He is talking about how great it would be if chocolate buttons were good for you. Was this impromptu or staged, and was it done just for the film or was it recorded earlier?

Nothing about that was scripted, planned or staged in advance. That's not to say it was intended for the film but as you can imagine, a lot of footage was shot and with the cameras rolling, all sorts of stuff was captured.
Luckily for you, I happen to know how the chocolate buttons clip came about as told by the director, Paul Dugdale.
"We did the interviews all over the world. A couple were in London, we did some more in Chicago, and some at the bakery at their HQ in London. We were just sat there, and he had some Buttons, and then we finished, and then he just had one. There was no method to that bit, that just happened."

Q.  Hi Oracle! I just recently flew on an Air Canada flight and they were showing the Ghost Stories live concert which was awesome. I noticed however that the upcoming CD/DVD doesn't include non-Ghost Stories tracks such as Clocks, Viva and others that were shown in the concert on the flight.. Do you know if they'll be releasing a full concert version later on? Thanks for your time! Cheers! Gareth

No. The TV special that was aired may be a slightly different version but the DVD that's been released is the only one planned - without the non-Ghost Stories tracks.

Q.  Hi,

I was recently on a plane, and while looking through the in-flight entertainment, I noticed and watched a special live video of Ghost Stories. I am now aware that a live album for Ghost Stories is being released, and once I watched the trailer for the DVD, I was pretty sure that it was the same thing as what I watched on the plane. Is this true?

It very well could be but I believe there were (sort of) 3 versions.
One included Clocks and Paradise. Another was an edited version. The DVD could be classed as the third and consists of:
1. Always In My Head
2. Magic
3. Ink
4. True Love
5. Midnight
6. Another's Arms
7. Oceans
8. A Sky Full Of Stars
9. O

Q.  Dear Oracle,
Do you think it would have been such a bad idea to include Miracles in the GS live album as a bonus track ?

Personally, yes I do think it's a bad idea. There is no correlation between the two to justify a reason for its inclusion. Ghost Stories is an album and Miracles is a stand alone soundtrack song. Ghost Stories already has its bonus tracks.
Atlas wasn't on an album. Neither was Christmas Lights but as a Christmas song, that's a whole other reason for it not being included on MX.
I can't wait for the 24th November!

Q.  Will the new recording of the Ghost Story Live 2044 concert tournee also be available on vinyl or only on CD/DVD?

I'm loving the typo! 2044 is a long way into the future...
Ghost Stories Live 2014 is a live film / album release - as you know - but the album is only available on CD.

Q.  Dear Oracle,

I was watching the trailer for the upcoming Ghost Stories live DVD/CD/Blu-Ray and I noticed that Coldplay filmed an intimate concert for the film in a arch shaped building. The front of the building has the Ghost Stories wings printed or painting on it. I was wondering whether this was real or whether it was computer generated?

The wings weren't printed or painted, they computer generated. The shot was taken from a drone.

Q.  Dear Oracle, I was watching the trailer of the live 2014 album and it seemed to me that all the performances were taken from the special that was on tv around the time of Ghost Stories' release. Is that true or are there other performances from the tour?
Thanks- Claire xo

All the information you need - including the track listing - is in the news piece.

Q.  In Live 2012 CD Chris is saying something in the Charlie Brown number. It's something like Thank you Netherlands come to Paris".

What is it exactly and what is the meaning of this?

No mention of Netherlands. Chris says "Unbelievable. Thank you for letting us come to Paris". The bit after is tricky because of a slight echo - "and letting us see something so beautiful as". Mmm, it sounds like he's saying 'heaven' but not so sure.
